When you sponsor a balloon, you’re giving a child the chance to soar to new heights and build a brighter future.
Your gift empowers children to dream bigger, explore more opportunities, and reach their fullest potential, as you help fund GYAC’s educational afterschool and summer programs, which have been Changing Lives, Changing Futures in Indian River County since 1998.

How Does It Work?
For $10, you can purchase one or more balloons, while supplies last, with 100% of the proceeds directly supporting GYAC’s proven programs, which are Changing Lives, Changing Futures for more than 260 youth enrolled in GYAC’s Afterschool and Youth Employability Program.
Once all balloons are sponsored, they will be released in a celebratory balloon drop for our students in GYAC’s gymnasium on Wednesday, February 11th. Students will enjoy a pizza and ice cream party topped off by the drop of 2,000 balloons* to celebrate 28 years of Changing Lives, Changing Futures! We also look forward to sharing a video afterward so the entire community can join in the celebration.
*All balloons will be air-filled, released indoors, and collected and disposed of using appropriate methods after the event.

What is GYAC Giving Day?
The Gifford Youth Achievement Center opened its doors to serve the community on February 15, 1998. So it’s only fitting that February 15th has been designated GYAC Giving Day.
This year, we’ll celebrate GYAC Giving Day on Wednesday, February 11th, with a pizza and ice cream party for our students – topped off by the release of 2,000 balloons in a special balloon drop that celebrates your generosity and the lasting difference it makes!
