The Gifford Youth Achievement Center’s (GYAC) Marketing & Events Manager, Stephanie Nelson, was twice recognized for her leadership qualities during the Florida Public Relations Association’s 82nd Annual Conference, held at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, FL.
“We are very proud of Stephanie’s accomplishments and support her professional development through the Florida Public Relations Association,” remarked Angelia Perry, GYAC’s Executive Director.
The Joe Curley Rising Leaders Class identifies and honors up-and-coming individual members that demonstrate emerging leadership traits along with dedicated active involvement in chapter activities. Nelson was nominated by the Treasure Coast Chapter of FPRA. In honor of her nomination, Nelson was awarded a $150 credit towards professional development expenses within the association.
LeadershipFPRA is an intensive five session program limited to a class size of 21 members from across the state. The curriculum is challenging and is led by a faculty of some of the most accomplished professionals in the state. According to FPRA’s website, “Graduates of the LeadershipFPRA program will be better equipped to not only function as PR professionals in their respective workplaces, but also strengthen their rightful seat at the boardroom table and to evolve into further leadership roles in FPRA, their communities and the industry in general.”
