2023 Back to School Supply Giveaway

The Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC) is preparing for their 25th annual Back-to-School Bash. After a trying year for both parents and students, families need your help. Last year, with help from the community, GYAC distributed more than 850 backpacks filled with folders, paper, pencils, glue sticks and much more.
This year’s (mobile) Back-to-School Bash will take place on Saturday, August 5 in the Gifford Youth Achievement Center’s parking lot starting at 9am. The event is open to all Indian River County students in need of supplies.
GYAC’s annual Back-to-School Bash is more than a time for the distribution of school supplies. It’s also a time to lift up and encourage our youth to be the best that they can be this upcoming school year.
Supplies requested include:
- backpacks
- composition notebooks,
- rulers
- pocket folders
- notebook paper
- pencils, markers, pens and colored pencils
- glue
- highlighters
- hand sanitizer
- notecards
- calculators
- Monetary contributions are also welcome.
School supplies will be collected at the Gifford Youth Achievement Center until Friday, August 4, 2023. Volunteers are welcome to come help sort and pack supplies.
