Since joining the Gifford Youth Achievement Center’s (GYAC) Board of Directors in January of 2022, Ken Mindt’s love for the organization continues to grow. With more than thirty-five years of professional experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to GYAC.

Q: When did you join the board?
A: “January 2022.”
Q: What are you most passionate about?
A: “Helping others achieve their dreams and potential.”
Q: What/who first brought you to GYAC?
A: “Scott Alexander introduced me to GYAC but hearing Freddie Woolfork tell the story of Gifford’s youth and the focus of GYAC, it pulled me into wanting to help GYAC in any way I could.”
Q: What do you love the most about GYAC?
A: “GYAC’s single focus of helping youth reach their potential but also helping others within the community” who are “in need of assistance.”
Q: How have your life experiences prepared you to serve on GYAC’s Board?
A: “I believe my thirty-five years of professional experience in accounting, finance, internal audit, and compliance can help GYAC grow to be a sustainable, well managed, and respected agency.”
Q: What are your hopes for GYAC’s future?
A: “Continue growing to provide Gifford’s youth with assistance and services that will help them achieve their goals while also helping others” who are “in need within the community.”
Q: What’s your favorite decade and why?
A: “The current decade because after three and a half decades of a fulfilling career, I can give back to my family, friends, and community by sharing my experiences and knowledge in areas that I am passionate about.”
