This year, the Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC) was delighted to welcome Tareek Beasley to its Operating Board of Directors. Tareek has a longstanding history with the organization, as he is the proud parent of three children who either attended GYAC in the past or currently attend its afterschool program. We’re thrilled to welcome Tareek as one of our newest board members!

A: “2023.”
Q: What/who first brought you to GYAC?
A: “My kids.”
Q: What are you most passionate about?
A: “Community outreach/community growth.”
Q: What do you love most about GYAC?
A: “Coach Libby!” Who doesn’t love Coach Libby?!
Q: How have your life experiences prepared you to serve on GYAC’s Board?
A: “My lifelong journey in Gifford, Florida and the surrounding area. My mom was also raised here.”
Q: What are your hopes for GYAC’s future?
A: “Transparency with community.”
